Watch the Puttronome Movie.  See how listening to the Puttronome file that best matches your Core Tempo will help you attain distance control.  Since most amateurs make ~75% of putts at 3 feet and only 40% of putts from 6 feet, it is critical to get the first putt within 3 feet!.  In order to get the first putt within 3 feet, you must have good distance control!  Listen to the Puttronome file on your MP3 player while putting.  Vary your backswing and followthrough length while holding your tempo constant, then, you'll sharpen your distance control. 

Download the free demo versions of the Puttronome files.  They include:
70bpm, 80bpm, 90bpm, 100bpm, 110bpm in three basic types: Standard, Pure, and Slow.

The only difference in the free version and the purchased version is an embedded "DXP Tech Demo" phrase embedded in each demo file between the pre-shot "tick" and the pre-shot "tock".

Take the Puttronome file that best matches your tempo with you to the practice green.  When you determine which tempo works best for you, purchase that "Tempo Set".  The "Tempo Set" will include +- 10 bpm tempos so that you can fine tune your putting stroke tempo.  For example, if you like the 90bpm Std Puttronome the best, when you purchase the "Std 90bpm Puttronome" set, you'll get 80bpm-100bpm Std Puttronome files in 1bpm increments (20 Puttronome files).

Save to your PC then extract all files.  Load the files onto your MP3 player.  Each demo version contains a "DXP Tech Demo" phrase between the two pre-shot "tick" "tocks".  In the purchased version, the phrase is  not present.  When you find the closest Puttronome file to your personal tempo, you can buy the set for that tempo.  The set contains tempos that are 10 bpm below and 10bpm above your selected tempo so that you can zoom in to the closest 1bpm of your tempo.
