The
"Pendulum Putting TempoStikTM" is a breakthrough putting training aid that shows you HOW to putt with a perfect pendulum
stroke. You simply enter the distance you want to putt the ball, your personal tempo rate in bpm ( Beats Per Minute), and the Green Speed. The TempoStikTM does the rest by providing precise time-position visual cues to where your putterhead should be throughout the putting stroke.
Here's how the TempoStikTM works:
- Place the TempoStikTM on a putting surface (carpet)
- Connect the USB cable into your PC
- Launch the TempoStikTM software
- Select the Distance, Tempo Rate, and Green Speed.
- Click the "RUN" button
The LEDs on the TempoStikTM will now show you the perfect Pendulum Putting Stroke for the parameters you entered. Follow the LEDs with your putter head several times to get a feel for the stroke. Now, stroke a ball while following the TempoStikTM.

An additional feature of the TempoStikTM is the "Optimum Holeout Distance" button that automatically adjusts the timing of the TempoStikTM to provide optimum distance past the hole for an aggressive putting strategy. DXP Tech has analyzed and improved on the optimum roll past hole strategy first proposed by Dave Pelz. The "17 inches past the hole" axiom has been updated by DXP Tech to take differing green speeds and maximum allowable directional error into account. Look for the study " Optimum Holeout Speed, a New Paradigm for Holeout Strategy" in the near future.
Take the technique of perfect pendulum putting strokes with you onto your practice putting green. DXP Tech will soon be offering a collection of PuttronomeTM audio files that guide you to a consistent putting tempo. Listen to the audio files while you putt. The collection of PuttronomeTM files covers tempos from 60 BPM to 130 BPM. Place them onto your MP3 player and select the file best suited to your personal tempo. For example, to hear the 90 beats per minute Puttronome file, select "Putt90bpm.mp3". The unique tones are an audio version of the visual TempoStikTM signals. This audio, similar to a metronome but far more detailed, is called a "PuttronomeTM" file. During the tone's rising and falling pitch sequence, a special chirp indicates when the exact moment of impact should occur. By practicing on your putting green while listening to a "PuttronomeTM" file, you will hear the impact of your putter striking the ball combined with the impact chirp sound.
You can listen to a sample "PuttronomeTM" file below. Take your putter back with the rising pitch and then the downswing with the falling pitch. You should strike the ball coincident with hearing the "chirp".
Keep in mind as you listen, that your tempo is probably different than the tempo in the sample file. The sample file is 80 bpm.
